About the ILCAJ
Who we are
The Institute of Life Cycle Assessment, Japan (ILCAJ) is a non-profit community of individuals and organizations engaged in finding and implementing solutions to environmental problems. ILCAJ supports the development, application and dissemination of science based on the life-cycle thinking for promoting a sustainable society. The scope of ILCAJ ranges from humanities to social and natural sciences and is not limited to life-cycle assessment. Since it was founded in Tsukuba in 2004, ILCAJ has attracted members from academia, industry, policy makers and consumers.
ILCAJ membership
ILCAJ’s membership is open to all individuals and organizations interested in environmental concerns associated with economic activities. The ILCAJ membership benefits are subscription of journals and email news, submission to journals, discounted fees for meetings, lectures and JLCA database, and membership services. Even though most of the ILCAJ services are provided in Japanese language, the following are fully in English: submission to journals and submission to and participation in biennial EcoBalance conferences. We are happy to welcome you to our community!
Please contact the ILCAJ secretariat at general@ilcaj.org if you are interested in being a member of ILCAJ.
