Abstract submission
Abstract submission closed.
Submitted abstract data cannot be changed after the 8 April.
The contact person will receive a notification of acceptance via e-mail
by 2 June 2014.
Extended abstract will be revised after the 2 June and up to the 10
September 2014.
Formats and deadlines
The submission of two specific abstracts in different formats is required to present at EcoBalance 2014.
- Abstract: This must be submitted in plain text and should not exceed 400 words. The abstract submission deadline is 8 April 2014, 18:00 (JST, UTC+9).
- Extended abstract: This must be submitted in PDF format, must be one page long, and may include tables and figures. The extended abstract submission deadline is 10 September 2014.
If an extended abstract is submitted by the plain-text abstract submission deadline, both the extended abstract and plain-text abstract will be reviewed. Abstracts are subject to approval and final assignment for inclusion in the program as an oral or poster presentation by the Organizing Committee. The contact person will receive a notification of acceptance via e-mail by 2 June 2014.
Instructions to authors
Please carefully read the following instructions before submitting abstracts:
- An extended abstract can be simply a printer-friendly version of the plain-text abstract adhering to the formatting requirements, although the submission of an extended abstract with enriched content (including tables, figures, and/or references) is most welcome.
- The submitted extended abstracts will be included in the Abstract Book for the conference, while the plain-text abstracts will be used only for making the acceptance decisions for presentations.
- If an extended abstract is submitted by the 8 April 2014 plain-text submission deadline, the plain-text abstract can consist simply of one sentence, "See the extended abstract."
- If possible, please use word-processing software for preparing a plain-text abstract in order to avoid misspellings.
- Authors can revise their abstracts through the online submission system before the submission deadlines. The title, author(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address may not be changed after the 8 April 2014 plain-text submission deadline; the remaining part of the extended abstract may be revised up to and including the 10 September 2014 extended abstract submission deadline.
The scientific content of both the extended abstract and presentation at the meeting must be consistent with that of the plain-text abstract. - Please see the Extended Abstract Formats (PDF, Word). The Word version is designed to work as a template but the extended abstract itself should be submitted as a PDF.
- The submission of abstracts implies that authors grant the Institute of Life Cycle Assessment, Japan (ILCAJ) one-time copyright for publication of submitted abstracts in the Abstract Book for the conference in printed and/or electronic forms.
